ORDINANCE N0. 1133-82
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $50,000.00
FROM THE POLICE PENSION FUND.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
Since the City'of South Bend has received additional
funds from the State of Indiana for the Police Pension Fund, it
is now.necess.ary:'.to appropt.iate these additional funds so.that
they may be expended in 1982 for the purpose of making pension
payments to retirees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council
of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That the sum of $50,000 is hereby
appropriated for tip year 1982 from the Police Pension Fund.
This appropriation is to be administered by the Police Pension
Secretary and will be distributed as set forth below.

SECTION II. That this Ordinance shall be in

This bill would appropriate $50,000.00 to the Police Pension Fund
that is available because of additional distribution from the State
for pension relief.
This appropriation means that we will save a corresponding amount
in Revenue Sharing funds that were originally appropriated for this
purpose.
