AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $7,200.00 FROM THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUND, FOR NEIGHBORHOOD CENTERS
ACTIVITY TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DIVISION OF COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
The government of the City of South Bend, in partnership with the
City's private sector and residents, is committed to the goal of improving
the "quality of life" in the City, its neighborhoods, and for its residents.
As part of this commitment, the City of South Bend through its Division of
Community Development will utilize funds to assist various programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana, as follows:
SECTION I: The sum of $7,200.00 is hereby appropriated for the
program year starting July 7, 1982, from the City of South Bend's Community
Development Block Grant Fund.

SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

The ordinance submitted for your consideration would appropriate
U.L.O. funds for a new activity. The Neighborhood Centers activity
(CD82 -507) would provide the LaSalle Filmore, Northeast, and Southeast
Neighborhood Centers with $2,400.00 each for a twelve month period in
order to support their non - personnel operational costs.
