PARENT, Mayor COUNTY -CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601 Members of the Council Common Council City of South Bend Dear Council Members: September 20, 1982 2191284 -9322 There will be presented for your consideration at first reading of the September 27, 1982 Council Meeting an ordinance approving a contract between the Board of Water Commissioners and Peerless- Midwest in the amount of $64,963. The proposed contract is the result of Peerless being low bidder in bids recently accepted by the Board of the drilling and installation of Well #2 at the Rum Village site. Funding is currently budgeted for this project in the Depreciation Fund. It is felt the addition of this 2.5 M.G.D. well will in a small part help reduce the effect of the loss of the Olive Well field. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact my office. Sincerely, I Michael L.
