2024 Annual Report of the Community Relations Committee
Dear Council Members,
As required by § 2-1 0(i)of the South Bend Municipal Code, I am filing this Annual Report as the
Chairperson of the Council's Community Relations Committee.
Duties: The Community Relations Committee is charged with"enhancing communications and
developing working partnerships throughout the City"and with"other public and private entities
operating within the City".
Members: There are four(4)Council Members and one(1)Citizen Member that have served on the
committee this year:
1. Councilmember Ophelia Gooden-Rodgers, Chairperson
2. Councilmember Canneth Lee,Vice-Chairperson
3. Councilmember Sheila Niezgodski, Member
4. Councilmember Sherry Bolden-Simpson,Member
5. Ms.Alfreda Gillespie, Citizen Member
Meetings: Two(2)public meetings were held. All Committee minutes and notices have been posted and
may be accessed on the Common Council's website.
