These funds will cover the pickup from a central location, hauling and dumping of the debris accumulated during our City -wide spring cleanup. In the past the City forces have handled this work but due to the unusually long and severe winter, recent floods and the moving of the landfill, the time necessary to complete such an operation is not available. These tasks take our men and equipment away from performing the health and safety functions such as street repair, repair of sewer cave -ins and cleanup. Your favorable consideration is requested and should you have any questions, please contact this office at your convenience. Sincerely, n r\ John E.
