On October 22nd, 2024, the Board of Public Works opened and read two quotes for the above
project. The quote request included M/WBE requirements. Neither of the quotes received met the
goals in the quote request nor the good faith effort requirements of the program plan. After further
review with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, it was determined that the work in the quote
request could not be practically commercially sub-divided, and so Public Works was able to
submit new quote requests without the M/WBE requirements in the original.
The Department of Public Works recommends rejecting both quotes. Public Works would ask
that we reject quotes at the review meeting. New quotes have been requested from all original
firms without the requirements and are due on November 26th, 2024.
