Re: Transfer of Property Between the St. Joseph County
Airport Authority and The City of South Bend
Dear Mr. Schalliol:
Jenny Manier informed me that you had not yet received the
original Quit Claim Deed from the City of South Bend to the St. Joseph
County Airport Authority, which was executed on November 18, 1991. I
was able to obtain the original recorded deed from the St. Joseph
County Recorder's office today, and I have enclosed it for your
records.
In looking over the file, however, I noted that I had not received
the deed from the Airport Authority to the City that you referred to
in your letter of November 11, 1991. This is the deed for the
property that the City received in exchange for the property that it
deeded to the Airport Authority. I think that it is possible that the
St. Joseph County Recorder's Office may have returned this original
deed to the Airport Authority. If you are able to locate the original
document, I would appreciate it if you could send it to the attention
of Sandy Parmerlee, Clerk of the Board of Public Works. Thank you for
your assistance in this matter.
