As it appears that the canopy will become a permanent part of the structure, the City Attorney's office has advised that an Easement would be appropriate in this situation. Therefore, Chief Assistant City Attorney Jenny Pitts Manier will need a complete legal description of the public right-of-way in which the canopy will encroach in order to prepare the Easement. I would appreciate your forwarding that information to her at your, earliest convenience. If I can be of any assistance to you in this matter, please don't hesitate to call me. Thanks! smP Enc. The plans call for a new lobby to be put in immediately west of the existing passenger depot. The material used for the construction will be granite, glass and metal frame work. Both the design and materials have been presented before the Design Review Board on the 18th of April, at which time their approval was given. From the discussions of that meeting, it was pointed out the neccessity of presenting the plans to your organization. Included you will find both a site and elevation drawing of the proposed entrance. The steel canopy that will protrude from above the door will be at the same elevation as the two pre-existing canopies. I hope that the inclosed material provides all the information necessary for you to act on this proposal. If I can be of any assistance in this matter, please do not hesitate to call.
