AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $94,900.00 FROM THE
SEWAGE DEPRECIATION FUND TO THE BUREAU OF WASTE-
WATER DEPRECIATION BUDGET LINE ITEMS: 416
BUILDING, STRUCTURES, IMPROVEMENT, $89,900.00;
429 OTHER EQUIPMENT, $5,000.00.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the
adoption of the existing budget for the Sewage Depreciation
Budget so.that it is now necessary to appropriate monies to
fund necessary expenditures for the year 1982.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the sum of $94,900.00 be appropriated from
the Sewage Depreciation Fund to the Bureau of Wastewater Deprecia-
tion Budget as set forth below:

I have submitted for your review and action under first readings of the
November 22, 1982 Council Meeting an ordinance which will appropriate $94,900.00
to the Bureau of Wastewater Depreciation budget.
Individual line item appropriations are as follows:
Account 416 Buildings, Structures, Improvement $89,900.00
The increase appropriation in this account is needed due to the
purchase of plastic and-,fiberglass-.chains, sprockets and flights
to replace worn out metal chains, sprockets and flights at a cost
of $78,000.00 of which $15,000.00 was originally budgeted. Also
roof repairs were made to the Administration Building and Digestors
one and three at a cost of $39,891.00 of which $10,000.00 was
originally budgeted.
Account 429 Other Equipment $ 5,000.00
Increased appropriation needed in this account in order to purchase
new pumps for Digestors three and four.
