St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, being the owners of the
hereinafter described real estate within the City of South Bend,
Indiana, hereby grant, dedicate and convey to the City of South
Bend, in perpetuity, for itself and the general public, for use

A strip of land seven (7) feet in width, North and South, taken
off of and from the entire length of the North side of Tract I
described below together with another parcel of land consisting of
thirty-six (36) square feet described as beginning at the Northeast
corner of said parcel, thence South across the strip referred to above
seven (7) feet to the true point of beginning, thence South six (6)
feet, thence West six (6) feet, thence North six (6) feet, thence East
six (6) feet to the point of beginning, all from the following parcel:
Tract I:
The North One -Half (1/2) of the following parcel of real estate: A
part of the South Half (1/2) of Lot Seven (7) as shown on the recorded
Plat of Edward Sorin's First Addition to the Town of Lowell, now a
part of the City of South Bend bounded by a line running as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the South One Half (1/2) of said
Lot Seven (7) in Sorin's First Addition to the Town of Lowell, now
Part of the City of South Bend; thence South on the East line of
Coquillard St., now known as Frances Street, 68.64 feet to the
Southwest corner of said Lot thence running East on the South line of
said Lot to the West line of a public alley that runs North and South
across said Lot Seven (7); thence North 68.64 feet to the West line of
said alley, to a point due East of the place of beginning, thence West
to the place of beginning, in South Bend, Indiana.
