bearing) 239.8 feet along the south line of said Southwest
Quarter; thence North 00 degrees 22 minutes 40 seconds West
523.80 feet along the west line of land belonging to
Herman C. Mutchler as described in Book 369, Page 599, in
the Office of the Recorder, St. Joseph County, Indiana, to the
Point of Beginning; thence continuing North 00 degrees 22 minutes

SUBJECT: WARRANTY DEEDS
Attached are the warranty deeds from Doreen Mutchler to the City of
South Bend and from Paul and Clara Stockinger from the City of
South Bend. These deeds are for property being purchased in
conjunction with the passing blisters being built adjacent to State
Road 23. The deeds will have to be recorded and it may be necessary
to record with them either a copy of our agreement with the State
of Indiana allowing the City to do the work next to the highway or
an affidavit in aid of title signed by John Leszczynski stating that
such an agreement exists. I suggest that you check with the
auditors office to see if they need such documentation. The deeds
were made subject to legal highways so the documentation may not be
necessary. If you have any questions, please contact me.
You will have to note at the top of the deeds that they should be
returned to the Clerk of the Board of the Public Works. I will
forward the title insurance policies to you when I receive them.
