AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $68,000.00 FROM THE
CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING FUND TO
PROJECT CS 825, DRAINAGE BASIN REPAIR PROJECT,
WITHIN THE CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING
FUND.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In the best interest of public health and safety, it is
necessary to repair and regrade the storm water basin in Crest Manor
and at the southwest corner of Ireland and Miami Streets.
Funds are now needed for the construction costs for these
repairs. These funds are available from the Cumulative Sewer
Building and Sinking Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
Section I: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated
and ordered set apart from the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking
Fund for the project in the amount set forth below:

Attention: Public Works Committee
Dear Councilmen:
The attached ordinance is requesting an appropriation of $68,000
from the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund to be used to
clean, grade, and repair the Crest Manor retention basin and
the Ireland -Miami Street basin.
These basins will require several of the concrete spillways to
be rebuilt along with re- establishing the basin contours.
The balance in this fund after this appropriation is $761,645.70.
