ORDINANCE NO. 7/ ES-43
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $15,500.00 FROM
THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND TO PROJECT
R &S 8301, EWING AVENUE TRACK REPAIR, WITHIN
THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to bring the Ewing Avenue rail crossing up to the
standards necessary-.to meet existing traffic needs certain improve-
ments have been proposed.
Funds are now needed for construction costs for these
improvements. These funds are available from the Local Road and
Street Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
Section I: The following sum of money is hereby
appropri.ated and set apart out of the Local Road and Street Fund
for the project in the amount set forth below:
PROJECT NO. PROJECT TITLE I AMOUNT
8301 Ewing Avenue Track Repair $ 15,500.00
Total Project $ 15,500.00
Section II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval
by the Mayor.

Attached is an ordinance requesting $15,500.00 from the Local Road and
Street Fund for the City's share of the Ewing Avenue Track Repair Project.
The existing crossing is an asphalt crossing which is in constant need
of repair; the intention of the project is to install a rubber pad in
order to improve the crossing. The balance in the Local Road and Street
Fund after this appropriation is $680,086.57.
