AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN HRP
COMPANY AND THE BOARD OF WATER WORKS COMMISSION-
ERS IN THE AMOUNT OF $34,800.00 FOR THE RELOCA-
TION OF OLIVE STREET WATER MAINS.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
That bids being duly accepted an opened, approval of
the award of a contract in the amount of $34,800.00 to HRP
Company is requested in order to relocate Olive Street water
mains.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That a contract in the amount of $34,800.00
between the Board of Water Works Commissioners and HRP Company,
1216 -18 W. Washington St., South Bend, Indiana, to relocate
Olive Street water mains is hereby approved.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor.

The enclosed ordinance will be filed for first reading of the
February 28, 1983 Council Meeting. In passing this ordinance we
are asking the Council to concur with the award action taken by
the Board of Water Works Commissioners. HRP was the low bidder
who met specifications and legal requirements for public bids
taken in this matter.
The 24" water line which is being relocated is part of the
Olive /Sample overpass project and must be completed prior to May
15, 1983. If you have additional questions, please feel free to
contact my office.
