AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $15,000 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT FUND, COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE GENERAL REVENUE :SHARING TRUST FUND FOR REFURBISHING THE EAST SECTOR POLICE SUBSTATION. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: In order to correct building and fire code violations, monies are needed for electrical and structural repairs to the East Sector Police Substation located at 420 East Frances Street. Monies are now available in the General Revenue Sharing Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION I. That $15,000 is hereby appropriated from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly referred to as the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. Respectfully - report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion THIS BILL SHOULD BE RECOMMENDED TO THE COUNCIL FAVORABLE, AS AMENDED: By changing the word refurnishing to refurbishing in the title; and in Section I change refurnish to refurbish.
