AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $25,000.00 FROM THE
CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING FUND TO
PROJECT CS821, IRONWOOD- IRELAND RETENTION BASIN,
WITHIN THE CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING
FUND.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to control some of the water flow in Clyde Creek, it
is necessary to expand the Ironwood- Ireland retention basin.
Funds are now needed for engineering costs for this improvement.
These funds are available from the Cumulative Sewer Building and
Sinking Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
Section I: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated
and set apart out of the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund for
the project in the amount set forth below:

Section II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from

Dear Councilmen:
Attached is an ordinance appropriating $25,000.00 from the Cumulative
Sewer Building and Sinking Fund for the purpose of improving the Ironwood -
Ireland retention basin. In order to control some of the water flow in
Clyde Creek, the retention basin needs to be expanded. The City has
acquired an 11 -acre tract of land in order to increase capacity of the
basin. It is now necessary to appropriate funds for the engineering
portion of this project. The balance in the Cumulative Sewer Building
and Sinking Fund after this appropriation is $736,645.70.
