Agenda: Bill No. 13 -19 Abatement 3340 Douglas Rd — Harrington Orthodontics
Bill No. 13 -20 Abatement 1902 S. Main — General Sheet Metal
Two bills, #13 -19 and #13 -20 were scheduled for hearing before Gavin Ferlic's Community Investment
Committee.
The first was a request for a 3 year real property tax abatement for Harrington Orthodontics. Kathy
Hahn from the Cl department reported the particulars qualifying the petitioner for the abatement.
Andrew Nemeth developer for the project was present to answer any questions.
After brief discussion Henry Davis moved for a favorable recommendation to full Council. Dr. Ferlic
seconded and all affirmed.
Bill No. 13 -20 was a petition for a 5 year personal property abatement submitted by general Sheet
Metal. Kathy Hahn verified the eligibility for the abatement.
Kevin Kruegel representing General Sheet Metal described the equipment to be purchased, namely a
sheet cutter and a tube bender.
Favorable comments were expressed by Henry Davis who supports incentives to create good paying
permanent jobs that investments like General Sheet Metal will create.
On a motion by Dr. Ferlic, seconded by Henry Davis and affirmed by all the bill was sent to Council
favorably. Gavin Ferlic adjourned at 5:07 p.m.
