PASSED -11- OFFICE OF THE MAYOR CITY ®f SOUTH BEND ROGER O. PARENT, Mayor COUNTY -CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601 September 6, 1983 Mrs. Irene Gammon City Clerk 4th Floor County -City Building South Bend, Indiana 46601 RE: Corrections to Ordinance No. 7225 -83 Dear Irene: AREA 219 284 -9261 It has come to my attention that Ordinance No. 7225 -83, the 1984 City Employees Salary Ordinance, as presented to me for my signature had certain typographical errors on page 8, under the Century Center heading and the 1984 Salary /Wages column, as follows: Cashier should be 5.90 and Mechanic III Maintenance should be 7.47. It is my understanding that these rates were passed by the Council, rather than the figures listed in the Ordinance presented to me (7.76 and 7.33 respectively). To correct this clerical error, while maintaining a record that the Salary Ordinance was passed within the ten days required, would you please forward to me for my signature a corrected Ordinance No. 7225 -83, together with a certi- fication from you that this corrected version is presented for my signature merely to correct certain typographical errors contained in the original version presented and sign- ed by me. I will then sign and date the Ordinance as of the date of signing with a notation that it is signed later on this Ordinance to correct typographical errors in the version earlier presented. Thank you very much for your cooperation in this matter. Sincer , i Rog Oare ROP /caw cc: Richard L. Hill Joseph E. Kernan
