AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING
$60,500 FROM THE EMERGENCY
MEDICAL SERVICES FUND FOR
CAPITAL EQUIPMENT AND REPAIRS.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to repair necessary equipment and
buildings for the fire department, funds are now needed.
Funds are also needed for a new ambulance.
Monies are presently available in the
Emergency Medical Services Fund for these repairs and
equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I. That the sum of $60,500.00 be
appropriated from the Emergency Medical Services Fund. This
appropriation will be administered by the Fire Department and
will be distributed as set forth below:

SECTION II. That this Ordinance shall be full

Attached is a proposed ordinance to appropriate $60,500.00
from the EMS Cumulative Capital Fund. The various projects
outlined are much needed and,further,are capital improvements
as required by the ordinance.
I would be most happy to meet with the Public Safety Committee
or other committee to which this proposed ordinance is assigned
to explain in detail the Fire Department's needs and inten-
tions in these areas.
