SPECIAL MEETING
April 8, 1993

The April 8, 1993 Special Meeting of the Redevelopment Authority was called to order at 8:07 a.m.
by its President, Joseph Wroblewski. There was a quorum present.
1. ROLL CALL

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

a. Approval of Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Thursday, March 18, 1993.
Upon a motion by Mr. Fewell, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and unanimously carried,
the Authority approved the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Thursday, March 18,
1993.
3. NEW BUSINESS
a. Authority approval requested for Certification concerning insurance and tax liability for
the Palais Rovale.
Mrs. Kolata explained that for each of the lease/purchase bonds that the Authority has
issued there is a bond trustee. Part of our requirements under the trust agreements is
that we must provide certification each year that the property is insured and that all tax

liability has been taken care of. We have checked the City's insurance policy and the
tax records for each property and found everything to be in order.
Upon a motion by Mr. Fewell, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and unanumously carried,
the Authority approved the Certification concerning uasurance and tax liability for the
Palms Royale.
b. Authority approval reauested for Certification concerning insurance and tax liability for
the Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium.
Upon a motion by Mr. Fewell, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and unanunously carried,
the Authority approved the Certification concerning insurance and tax liability for the
Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium.
c. Authority approval reauested for Certification concerning insurance and tax liability for
the Aiport Economic Development Area Public Improvements (Tax Exempt
Improvements)
Upon a motion by Mr. Fewell, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and unanimously carried,
the Authority approved the Certification concerning insurance and tax liability for the
Airport Economic Development Area Public Improvement Project. (Tax Exempt
Improvements)
d. Authority approval requested for Certification concerning insurance and tax liability for
the Airport Economic Development Area Public Improvement Project. (Taxable
Improvements)
Upon a motion by Mr. Fewell, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and unanimously carried,
the Authority approved the Certification concerning insurance and tax liability for the
Airport Economic Development Area Public Improvement Project. (Taxable
Improvements)
e. Authority approval requested for Certification concerning insurance and tax liability for
the Blackthorn Golf Course Project.

Upon a motion by Mr. Fewell, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and unanimously carved,
the Authority approved the Certification concerning insurance and tax liability for the
Blackthorn Golf Course Project.
f. Authority a~roval reauested for Certification concerning insurance and tax liability for
the 1992 Pazking Facilities Project. (St. Joseph/Wayne Streets Pazking Garage)
Upon a motion by Mr. Fewell, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and unanimously carried,
the Authority approved the Certification concerning insurance and tax liability for the
1992 Pazking Facilities Project. (St. Joseph/Wayne Streets Pazking Garage)
g. Authorityapproval requested for Certification concerning insurance and tax liability for
the South Bend Central Development Area Public Improvement Proiect.
Upon a motion by Mr. Fewell, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and unanimously carried,
the Authority approved the Certification concerning insurance and tax liability for the
South Bend Central Development Area Public Improvement Project.
4. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS
Claims submitted for payment April 8, 1993:

Upon a motion by Mr. Fewell, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and unanunously carried, the
Authority approved the Claims submitted April ~, 1993.
ADJOURNMENT

Mrs. Kolata introduced Matt Carpenter who has been with :the .Department since March 22.
gIe will be working with Studebaker Comdor and the southeast area.
There being no further business to come before the Authority, Mr. Fewell made a motion
that the meeting be adjourned. Mr. Wroblewski seconded the motion and the meeting was
adjourned at 8:12 a.m.
