ORDINANCE NO. 733
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN
PEERLESS- MIDWEST, INC., AND THE BOARD OF WATER
WORKS COMMISSIONERS IN THE AMOUNT OF $271,617.00
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NORTHWEST WELL FIELD
ON CLEVELAND ROAD
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
That bids being duly accepted and opened, approval of
the award of a Contract in the amount of $271,617.00 to
Peerless- Midwest, Inc., is requested in order to construct
a Northwest Well Field on Cleveland Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That a contract in the amount of $271,617.00
between the Roard of Water'WOrks Commissioners and Peerless -
Midwest, Inc., 51255 Bittersweet Road, Granger, Indiana,
46530, to construct a Northwest Well Field on Cleveland Road
is hereby approved.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor.

The enclosed ordinance is being presented for first reading at the
next meeting of the Common Council. The ordinance when passed
would give the Common Council's approval of a contract between
the Board of Water Works Commissioners and Peerless - Midwest, Inc.
in the amount of $271,617.00. This contract is the result of the
Board's advertising for bids for the construction of the northwest
well field on Cleveland Road and Peerless- Midwest, Inc. being the
low bidder.
