AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $150,000.00 FROM THE LOCAL
ROAD AND STREET FUND TO PROJECT R &S 8402, CONCRETE
IMPROVEMENTS, WITHIN THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to meet existing and proposed traffic demands, and to
provide for safe and efficient movement of vehicles, certain improve -
ments are necessary for some concrete streets within the City of South
Bend.
Funds are now needed to pay for the cost of these improvements.
These funds are available from the Local Road and Street Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
Section I: The following sum of money is hereby ordered set
apart from the Local Road and Street Fund for the project in the amount
set forth below:

8402 Concrete Improvements $ 150,000.00
Total Project $ 150,000.00
Section II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the
Mayor.

Dear Councilmen:
The attached ordinance requests $150,000.00 from the Local Road and
Street Fund to be utilized by the Department of Public Works in
contracting for concrete.repa.irs on�arious streets within the City
of South Bend. The balance in the Local Road and Street Fund after
this appropriation is $263,811.20.
Your favorable consideration of this appropriation is requested.
