Committee Chair Lori Hamann called to order the Zoning and Annexation Committee meeting at
5:29 p.m.
Bill No. 24-23 -A Zoning Ordinance for Property Located at 3003 Lincolnway West,
Councilmanic District No. 2
Angela Smith, Zoning Specialist with offices on the fourteenth (14th) floor of the County-City
building, noted that this is a special exception for a U-Haul establishment. The site has been a
parking lot for some time. The owner is working with the City to upgrade the property. The Vibrant
Spaces grant will be utilized. This has received a favorable recommendation from the Board of
Zoning and Appeals. Angela Smith noted that this is a church-driven initiative. This site is specific
for vehicle rental. For additional use, there would need to be new applications. The site holds
approximately 10 to 15 U-Haul trucks.
Committee Chair Hamann held the public hearing, and nobody spoke.

Committee member White motioned to send Bill No. 24-23 to Council wi th a favorab le
recommendation, seconded by Committee member Niezgodski, and carried by a vote of four ( 4)
ayes, with one (1) committee member absent.

It was requested that this Bill be tabled until September 25, 2023.
Committee Chair Hamann motioned to table Bill No. 44-23 to September 25, 2023 , seconded by
Committee member Niezgodski, and carried by a vote of four (4) ayes, with one (1) committee
member absent.

Angela Smith noted that the petitioner was not present. This is the second (2 nd) time the petitioner
has not been in attendance.
Committee member White motioned to table Bill No. 44-23 to September 11, 2023, seconded by
Committee member Chair Hamann, and ca1Tied by a vote of fo ur ( 4) ayes, with one (1) committee
member absent.
