Committee Chair Lori Hamann joined virtually but due to technical difficulties was unable to
participate in discussion or voting, so Committee Member Sheila Niezgodski called to order the
Zoning and Annexation Committee meeting at 4:00 p.m.
Bill No. 24-23 -An Ordinance for Board of Zoning Appeals for Property Located at 1127,
1131, and 1135 West Western Ave., Councilmanic District No. 2
Kari Myers, Zoning Specialist with offices on the fourteenth (14th) floor of the County-City
building, noted that this request is for a special exception regarding major vehicle repair for Fargo
LLC. If the council were to approve the request, the entire site would need to be brought into
zoning compliance. There would be no outside storage or parking. The Board of Zoning Appeals
has given this a favorable recommendation. Mr. David Farhan, the petitioner, noted that he cannot
stay for the 7 p.m. meeting. There was discussion to table this Bill to accommodate Mr. Farhan
being able to attend.
Committee member White motioned to table Bill No. 24-23 until July 24, 2023 , seconded by
Committee member Niezgodski, and carried by a vote of three (3) ayes, with two (2) committee
members absent.
