What you will learn…
To examine bidding requirements, business systems and documentation of a successful bid to perform work
for a City such as South Bend under public bidding state statutes that necessitate award to lowest
responsible and responsive bidder.
Learn what it takes to bid as a general contractor.
Learn also how to leverage information in the public bidding web site to be a successful subcontractor to
area majority firms on larger projects.
Using Ivy Tech’s Computer Lab, generate a mock bid for a sample “sidewalk and curbs” project, which will
be reviewed during the course.
