The Base Bid is demolition of the Bottling House complex along with the concrete loading dock. Alternate 1 is the added cost to demolish four (4) siloes down to their supporting concrete slab. Alternate 2 is the deduct price to allow the contractor to reuse pulverized concrete and masonry as backfill in accordance with Division 200 of the INDOT Standard Specifications. 90 Page 1 of 2 This contract does not include demolition of the smokestack. Furthermore, Wooldridge Construction did not meet either M/WBE goal for the project, stating they would self -perform all work. The second low bid from Green Demolition is complete and responsive. Green Demolition acknowledged Addendum 1, met both the M/WBE goals, and are prequalified as a Reponsible Bidder for the City of South Bend. I recommend award of the Base Bid, Alternate 1 and Alternate 2 for Drewry's Brewery Cleanup, Phase II to Green Demolition, in the amount of $963,600. Funding is available through PR-00034202.
