GAMMON Approved and signed by me w ��, r V 1 fLY ORDINANCE NO . j g � -,?l AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $13,000 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT FUND, COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE GENERAL REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND FOR A TRUCK FOR CODE ENFORCEMENT. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Additional funds are needed to combine with available Community Development funds for a dump truck for the Department of Code Enforcement. Monies are available within the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,INDIANA: SECTION I. That the sum of $13,000 is hereby appropriated for the year 1984 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund commonly known as the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appropriation is to be administered by the Department of Code Enforcement and will be distributed as set forth below: ACCOUNT PROGRAM FA 240 CODE ENFORCEMENT TRUCK DESCRIPTION 427.0 Motor Equipment SECTION II. PARENT, Mayor COUNTY-CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601 Department of Code Enforcement 219/284.9486 219/284.9498 2191284.9325 Dear Members of the Common Council: The Department of Code Enforcement's clean up crew has two single axle dump trucks used for hauling trash and debris. Both trucks are seven years old. One of the two trucks is in poor condition and has been out of service approximately twenty -one weeks during the last year. It is necessary to replace this truck as soon as possible. The cost of a new truck will be approximately $28,000.00. $15,000.00 has been appropriated from Community Development Funds toward the purchase of the truck and an additional $13,000.00 is needed from Federal Revenue Sharing Funds.
