The Board of Public Works opened public bids for Project No. 124-045 Sewer Repair – Bendix and
Westmoor Intersection at its meeting on July 9, 2024. The Division of Engineering has reviewed the
subject quote(s) and found the documentation to be complete except that the quotes received
exceeded the quotation threshold for public work.

Recommendation – Reject Quotes:
The Division of Engineering and the Division of Streets & Sewers recommend the Board of
Public Works reject all quotes. The lone, Base Quotation received for Project No. 124-045
Sewer Repair – Bendix and Westmoor Intersection exceeded the $150,000 threshold for
quotation work. The quote received also exceeded anticipated costs for the sewer repair project.
At the pricing received, it would have triggered MBE and WBE requirements. Public Works will
re-quote the project.
Funding for this project is directed out of the Sewage Works Operations – Other Contractual
Services Account 641-06-602-509-439001.
