Lamie Landmark or District Designation: East Wayne Street Local Historic District, Ordinance #7796-87 Rating: Non-Contributing DESCRIPTION OF STRUCTURE/ SITE: A two-story rectangular block house with wings. The façade is 3 bays with 8/8 double hung sash windows and a central entrance. The roof is gabled with asphalt shingles. Attached flat-roof, single door garage on the north. DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT: The applicant has requested approval to: 1. Install a rear yard waste container screen on the northeast side of the garage. The proposed vinyl fence panels and gates are 72” tall. 2. Install a vinyl fence on the southeast corner of the rear patio. The proposed fence is 12’ in length and 48” tall. STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES: Fencing and Retailing Walls: Pages 12-13. SITE VISIT REPORT: N/A STAFF RECOMMENDATION: The proposed fence projects are in keeping with the wide range of fence styles and types in the East Wayne Street Local Historic District. Additionally, the proposed fence locations are only minimally viewed from the street. Staff makes a FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION.
