GAMMON Approved and signed ed y me- City Clerk ORDINANCE N0.7 y AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE HIGHWAYS SAFETY FUND. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT The State of Indiana has approved two Indiana Department of Highways Safety Project Grants. These grants are required to be used for equipment and supplies for the enforcement of traffic safety laws and accident investigations. A separate fund is necessary to maintain separate records on receipts and expenditures. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION I. That the Highways Safety Fund be established and tzat all monies received from the Indiana Department of Highways Safety Project Grants be deposited into that fund. SECTION II. That the monies in the Highways Safety Fund be used by t e South Bend Police Department exclusively for equipment and supplies for the enforcement of traffic safety laws and for equipment and supplies for accident investigations. SECTION III. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and of ect from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.
