Dear Mr. Zimmerman:
At its June 11, 2024 meeting, the Board of Public Works approved the request to
rescind the award for the above referenced quotation due to errors that were made in the quote
calculations.
Please sign this letter whereby you acknowledge that the abovementioned contract with
the City has been rescinded at your request by the Board of Public Works no later than June 25,
2024. Absent receipt of this signed letter, the Board of Public Works will revoke its
conditional rescission of the contract

SUBJECT: Rescind Contract Award for #124-010B Tree & Stump Removal B
DATE: June 3rd, 2024
On May 14th, 2024, 2024, the Board of Public Works awarded the quote for the above project to
American Tree & Lawn Care whose total amount was the lowest quote received. During a pre-
construction May 29th, 2024, the quoter realized that errors were made in the quote calculations. As
a result, the cost of the project in its full scope would present significant financial hardship to the
owner. American Tree & Lawn Care is a local small business who has not had a City contract in the
past. Engineering has determined that is in the best interest of both the City and American Tree &
Lawn Care to terminate the contract and select a different quoter. Engineering recommends
recission of the contract with American Tree & Lawn Care.
