THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH, that FLUSHING FEDERAL SAVINGS AND
LOAN` ASSOCIATION, New York, State of New York, does hereby grant,
releaseand Quit -Claim to -the CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, a municipal
corporation, of St. Joseph County, in the. State of Indiana, for and
in consideration of One ($1.00) Dollar and other good and valuable
consideration the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the follow-
ing described real estate in St. Joseph County, in the State of
Indiana, to -wit:
A part of Lot Numbered Fourteen (14) as shown on the
recorded plat of Stull's Fourth Addition to the City
of South Bend, which part is described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Lot Numbered
Fourteen (14); running thence East on the Northerly
line of said lot a distance of 155.1 feet to the
Easterly line of said lot; thence South 21.5 feet;
thence West to the Westerly line of said lot; thence
North Forty-two (42) feet to the place of beginning.
Subject to all existing real estate taxes, which
taxes Grantee assumes and agrees to satisfy.
Grantor states under oath that no Indiana Gross Income Tax is
due or payable with respect to the transfer of the above described
real estate.
The undersigned persons executing this deed on behalf of Grantor
represent and certify that they are the duly elected officers of
Grantor and have been fully empowered, by proper resolution of the
Board of Trustees of the Grantor to execute and deliver this deed
and that all necessary corporate actions for the making of this con-
veyance has been taken and done.
