AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING
$7,281.46 FROM THE CRIME
CONTROL FUND FOR COMPUTER
TERMINALS.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
New computer terminals are needed for the
central communication facility in order to have optimum
efficiency. Funds are available within the Crime Control Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I. That $7,281.46 be appropriated from
the Crime Control Fund and distributed as set forth below:

SECTION II. That this Ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common
Council, approval by the Mayor and approval by the State Board

Dear Councilmen:
The South Bend Police Department requests approval to purchase three
(3) computer terminals for the new Central Communication facility,
701 West Sample Street, South Bend. Presently the department has
one terminal for placement in the facility. T have been advised by
Glen Zubler (Communications and Repair) that the new radio console
will accept four terminals, one for each individual radio position.
A one time offer now exists where the department can purchase three
Hewlett Packard terminals for one -half (112) off the regular selling
price.
Request for:
(3) Three Hewlett Packard Model 2626 terminals @ $ 2,500.00
each including all cables.
3 x $ 2,500.00 = $ 7,500.00.
*Regular list price is $ 5,400.00 each.
