At its May 28, 2024 meeting, the Board of Public Works approved the above
referenced amendment for additional inspection services related to additional guardrail
replacement and earthwork for the Coal Line Trail, Phase IIA in the amount of $19,500.

Project: Coal Line Trail (Phase II)
From Riverside Drive to East Bank Trail within the City of South Bend

This Contract Amendment is made and entered to this Contract between the City of South Bend Board of
Public Works (hereinafter referred to as "LPA") and Lawson -Fisher Associates P.C. (hereinafter referred to
as "CONSULTANT"),
WHEREAS, the LPA and CONSULTANT did December 21, 2021 enter into a Contract for
construction inspection services for the above reference project.
WHEREAS,
the LPA and
CONSULTANT did May 10, 2022
amend the original Contract due to a
revised construction
project
scope
as requested and directed: and
WHEREAS, the LPA desires that CONSULTANT provide increased construction inspection
services required due to the increased construction project scope as requested and directed: and
WHEREAS, in order to provide for completion of the work, it is necessary to amend and increase
the contract in the amount of $19,5000
NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed by and between the parties that the following Appendix is
amended:

Appendix "D" is amended as follows:
A. 1. The CONSTULTANT shall receive payment for the work performed under this contract. The
total amount not to exceed is $191,850 unless a supplemental is executed by the parties
that increased the maximum amount payable.
Except as herein modified, changed and amended, all terms of the original contract dated December 21,
2021, and amended May 10, 2022, shall continue in full force and effect.
In Witness whereof, the CONSULTANT and the LPA, to duly authorized representatives to enter into this
Contract Amendment. The parties having read and understand the foregoing terms of this amendment due
by their respective signatures stated below hereby agree to the terms thereof.
