the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the following Real Estate in. St. Joseph County
in the State of Indiana„ to wit:
A lot or parcel of land 44 feet in width, North and South,
fronting on North Main Street, taken off of and from the
entire length of the South side of Lot No. 23, and another
lot or parcel of land 65 feet in length, East and West,
fronting on Center Street, taken off of and from the entire
length of the East end of Lot No, 22, all as shown on the
Original Plat of the Town, now City of South Bend, EXCEPTING
from said last described parcel a strip of land 42 feet wide,
North and South, taken off of and from the entire width of
the South end thereof, heretofore deeded for street purposes,
TOGETHER with all interest in and to a private alley described
as follows: Beginning on the North line of Center Street in
said City at a point 90 feet East of the East line of Main
Street; thence North 612 feet to the North line of said Lot
Numbered 227 thence East 10 feet; thence South to the North
line of Center Street thence West 10 feet to the place of
beginning.
Subject to taxes.
