This indenture witnesseth that NELSON JENNINGS SIMS, unmarried and of adult age.
Of ST. JOSEPH County in the State of INDIANA
Release and Quit -Claim to CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND
Of ST. JOSEPH County in the State of INDIANA
for and in consideration of ONE DOLLAR AND OTHER GOOD AND VALUABLE CONSIDERATION
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the following Real Estate in ST. JOSEPH County
in the State of Indiana, to wit:
A parcel of land seventy-five (75) feet in length, North and South taken off of
the South end of the two following parcels of land, viz: A parcel seventeen and
three -fourths (17-3/4) feet wide off of the West side of Lot Lettered "AJ11, and
a parcel twenty and one-half (20-1/2) feet wide off of the East side of Lot
Lettered "AI" on the recorded Plat of Partition Commissioner Sub -Division of
Lot One (1), and Lot Lettered "C" on the Plat of Elder Place to the City of
South Bend, in St. Joseph County, Indiana.
The land herein considered is further bounded by a line running as follows;
Beginning on the North line of Paris Street in the South line of said Lot
Lettered "AJ" at a point Thirty-eight and one-fourth (38-1/4) feet West of the
South East corner of said Lot Lettered "AJ", thence West on the North line of
Paris Street Thirty-eight and one-fourth (38-1/4) feet to the East line of the
public alley Ten (10) feet wide in the rear of the Elder School Lot, thence
North on the East line of said alley Seventy-five (75) feet, thence East
Thirty-eight and one-fourth (38-1/4) feet, thence South Seventy-five (75) feet
to the place of beginning, being a lot Thirty-eight and one-fourth (38-1/4)
feet in width on Paris Street by Seventy-five (75) feet deep, also known as
121 E. Paris Street, South Bend, Indiana.
