Persons in attendance included the following individuals representing the following entities: Rachel Tomas Morgan Bianca Tirado Danica Kulemeka Victoria Stowell Bob Palmer Lieutenant Brad Rohrschieb Chief Scott Ruszkowski Charles King III Brantley Taylor Andrew Polaniecki Tim Sexton Sharah Neitz Daniel Jung South Bend Common Council City Clerk's Office City Clerk's Office City Clerk's Office Council Attorney SBPD SBPD Life Changers Ivy Tech Holy Cross Notre Dame Notre Dame Notre Dame Please note the attached link for the meeting recording: https://docs.southbendin.gov/WebLink/browse.aspx?dbid=0&mediaid=380377 Chair Rachel Tomas Morgan gave a brief overview of the agenda and then proceeded to the Annual report. 2023 CCAC Annual Report Chair Tomas Morgan sent out the 2023 CCAC Annual report earlier to members via email and asked members to review the documents to make comments and prepare for a final adoption. Next Meeting Schedule The next meeting of the CCAC is Tuesday, February 27, 2024 , 3:30pm, In-Person at Technology Resource Center and via Teams Election of Officers A quorum was not established, the election of officers was postponed until the next meeting, Tuesday, February 27, 2024 Updates from Member Organizations Chair Tomas Morgan discussed the City coordinating with each campus with the City's Climate Action Plan. Pam Claeys updated the members on an upcoming Safety Summit happening February 12 th from 6-7:30 p.m. at Indiana University, South Bend (IUSB) hosted by the local River Park Neighborhood organization, Police Department, Fire Department, IUSB and local businesses. The meeting is open to the public and people are highly encouraged to attend. Tim Sexton expressed thanks for Father John's appreciation at the MLK breakfast. At the event, Father John was given keys to South Bend and Mishawaka. University of Notre Dame is currently going through their transition for the president and officially Bob Dowd doesn't start until July 1st . Chair Tomas Morgan announced that applications for the Citizen Police Academy were closing at the end of the week and encouraged people to apply . She also spoke about the upcoming Mayor's Night Out which will be held at Ivy Tech Community College, February 8th from 6-8 p.m. Tim Sexton coordinated with Chair Tomas Morgan on meeting with University of Notre Dame's sustainability officers and mentioned the City of South Bend and University of Notre Dame both have a Carbon Neutral by 2050 plan. He then discussed the installation of solar panels on Route 933 by the university. Chair Tomas Morgan thanked Tim Sexton for the information and was excited to work with the broader community towards these goals. Tim Sexton also requested the new councilmembers Sherry Bolden-Simpson and Ophelia Gooden-Rodgers to join the next CCAC meeting . With no further business, Chair Rachel Tomas Morgan adjourned the CCAC Committee meeting at 4:04 p.m .
