614 Sherman Ave. TIF Project – Foundation
DATE: 04/02/2024
On March 26, 2024, the Board of Public Works opened and read aloud quotes for the subject
project. The scope of work is to construct a concrete slab foundation (excavation, forming, placing,
curing) for a new duplex unit from the City’s pre-approved housing construction plans.
Two quotes were received:
•John Ward Concrete: $13,460
•B&M Builders:$49,718
Upon review of the quotes, it was determined that John Ward Concrete had excluded required
excavation costs in the quote, and that B&M Builders had included utility hookup work in their
quote.
Neither quote is responsive to the original request. Both quotes should be rejected.
