THIS INDENTURE VXhIESSETH, That DEYEN6E PLOT 001W01-UMON., a
corporation created by Reconstruction Finance Corporation pursuant to
8ection. 5d of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation Act, as amended, to
aid the Government of the United States in its National Defense Program,
of Washington, District of Columbia, release and quit -claim to Uity of
South Bend, of St. Joseph County, in the State of Indiana, for and in
consideration of One Dollar (61), the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,
the following described real estate in St. Joseph Gounty in the State of
Indiana, to -wit:
Beginning at a point on the north and south center
line and forty (40) feet south of the north line of Section
26, Township 37 North, Range 2 East; thence north along the
north and south center line of said Section 26and the north
and south center line of Section 23, Township 37 North,
Range 2 East, to a point forty (40) feet north of the south
line of said Section 23; thence east parallel with and
forty (/+0) feet north of the south line of said Section
23, a distance of one thousand four hundred nine and eight
hundredths (1409.08) feet more or less to the northwesterly
right-of-way line of the Pennsylvania hailroad; thence
southwesterly along said right -of -ray line a distance of
ninety-one (91) feet more or less to a point forty (/+0)
feet south of the north line of said Section 26; thence
west parallel with and forty (1+0) feet south of the north
line of said Section 26, a distance of one thousand three
hundred seventy and ninety-two hundredths (1370.92) feet
more or less to the place of beginning; except that portion
of the above described property which is already in use as
a public thoroughfare.
To be used for Highway Purposes.

Before me, the undersigned, a Notary Public in and for the vistrict
of Columbia, this _fday of 1941, personally appeared

respectively of Defense Plant Corporation, a corporation created by Re—
construction Vinance Corporation 1 rporation pursuant to Section 5d of the Reconstruction
Finance Corporation Act', as amended, to aid the Government of the United
States in its National Defense Program, and acknowledged the execution of
the above and foregoing deed of conveyance to be their voluntary act and
deed as such and of said
grantor corporation and the voluntary act and deed of said grantor corporation;
and the said
being first duly sworn, upon oath
deposes and says that he is
of said Defense Fla -at
Corporation and that the corporate seal attached to the foregoing deed of
conveyance is the true corporate seal of said grantor corporation, and that
he affixed the same hereto and signed his name hereto by order of the Board
)f Directors of said grantor corporation.
