At its February 27, 2024 meeting, the Board of Public Works approved the above
referenced Change Order be increased by $101,833, bringing the revised contract amount to
$3,882,440.37.

Change Order No. 2 for the subject project adds the following scope items to the contract:
• Third Party Testing: $11,573.00
o This is an omission from the Specifications. This covers necessary soil and
concrete testing.
• Garden Shed Power: $2,260.00
o This is an owner-initiated scope change to provide power to the landscaping
shed.
• Flooring Changes: $1,179.00
o This is an error in the plans, requiring a change in flooring type to provide more
traction.
• Apparatus Bay Sub Siding: $3,621.00
o This is an owner-initiated scope change to modify the detail where the subsiding
in the apparatus bay meets the foundation concrete.
• Four-Fold Doors: $83,200.00
o This is an owner-initiated scope change to modify the exit doors for the
apparatus bay. Four-fold doors open faster than overhead doors.
• TOTAL: $101,833.00
This change order does not affect the existing contract completion date of September 19, 2024.
Funding for this change order is available through the Fire Department’s capital fund.
