CALL TO ORDER — 6:00 pm II. ROLL CALL III. PUBLIC HEARING a. CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS i. 2023-1016 710 North St. Joseph St River Bend LHD, Ordinance #8308-92 The staff report was presented by: Adam Toering Staff Recommendation: Staff makes a favorable recommendation. ALSO PRESENT: Adam Toering Kate Bolze Kathryn Hough (Audio Position: 00:36) The applicant was represented by: Matthew Hostetler, 710 N St. Joseph St, South Bend, IN, appeared in person and served as the applicant. The public was represented by: There was no one from the public to speak. After due consideration the following action was taken: Upon a motion by Elizabeth Hertel, seconded by David Wyncott, and carried by vote, the Historic Preservation Commission APPROVES Certificate of Appropriateness Application #2023-1016. Vote: 7-0-1. Seven in favor, none opposed, one abstained. COA#2023-1016 is APPROVED. The applicant was represented by: Steve DeJuluis, 67650 Mulberry Rd, Lakeville, IN, appeared in person and served as the applicant. The public was represented by: There was no one from the public to speak. After due consideration the following action was taken: Upon a motion by David Wyncott, seconded by Michael Skaggs, and UNANIMOUSLY carried by vote, the Historic Preservation Commission APPROVES Certificate of Appropriateness Application #2023-1106 with the remanding of the anchor bolts location to staff to ensure they are installed in the mortar. Vote: 8-0. Eight in favor, none opposed. COA#2023-11-06 is APPROVED. iii. 2023-1106A 907 Riverside Drive "Leeper Park" - "Navarre Cabin" South Bend Local Landmark, Ordinance #8734-96 (Audio Position: 00:11) Applicant requested the petition be tabled to the December 18, 2023 Historic Preservation meeting. b. LOCAL LANDMARK NOMINATION i. 3016 Portage Avenue, "Portage Manor" IV. PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR V. REGULAR BUSINESS a. APPROVAL OF MINUTES i. November 9, 2023 — Special Meeting minutes (Audio Position: 16:36) Minutes from the November 9, 2023 Special Meeting were not ready to be reviewed and accepted at the time of the meeting. b. STAFF REPORTS Administrative Approvals After due consideration, no action was taken. C. COMMITTEE REPORTS No committees have met since the previous meeting. VI. OLD BUSINESS VII. NEW BUSINESS VIII.
