ORDINANCE NO. 7S S--911
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $30,000 FROM THE
CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING FUND
TO PROJECT CS 827, REPAIR OF BRICK SEWER ON
LELAND AVENUE, WITHIN THE CUMULATIVE SEWER
BUILDING AND SINKING FUND.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In the best interest of public health and safety, it is necessary
to repair the brick sewer on Leland Avenue starting at California and
going north a distance of approximately 175 feet. Funds are now needed
for the cost of construction for this improvement. These funds are
available from the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
Section I: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated
and ordered set apart from the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking
Fund for the project in the amount set forth below:

Total Appropriation $ 30,000.00
Section II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the
Mayor.

Dear Council Members:
The attached is an ordinance requesting an appropriation of $30,000.00 from
the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund for the cost of repairs for
the Leland Avenue sewer. In the best interest of public health and safety,
it is necessary to repair the brick sewer on Leland Avenue, starting at
California and going north a distance of approximately 175 feet. The
repairs will entail application of gunite concrete to the bricks to stop
further deterioration. The balance in the Cumulative Sewer Building and
Sinking Fund after approval of this appropriation is $313,050.05.
Your favorable consideration on the proposed ordinance is requested. If
