AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $161,400.00 BETWEEN
ACCOUNTS WITHIN THE DIVISION OF COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
The City of South Bend through the Division of Community
Development received supplemental funding under Public Law 98 -8 commonly known
as the Jobs Bill. In keeping with the intent of the Jobs Bill funds, transfers
are required in order to utilize the funds in a timely manner.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana as follows:
SECTION I. The sum of $161,400.00 is hereby transferred among
the accounts as set forth below:
Reduce the following accounts:

Community Development's efforts to utilize funds in a timely
manner. October 31, 1984 is the end of the program year for
Public Law 98 -8, or the Jobs Bill funding. The proposed
transfers will assure the expenditure of funds in accordance with
the required timetable.
