AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $616,000.00 AMONG VARIOUS ACCOUNTS, ALL ACCOUNTS BEING WITHIN THE DIVISION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: On or about November 30, 1984, the City of South Bend through the Division of Community. Development will submit its 1985 Application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Part of the 1985 Application includes the anticipated reprogramming of funds from previous years of Community Development Block Grant Funding. The activities from program years 1983 and 1984 have been completed or will have funding reprogrammed to the current program year in order to efficiently utilize the funds. The plan for projected funding levels of program year 1985 activities makes it necessary to transfer funds among various accounts. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana as follows: SECTION I. No costs will be incurred or funds expended for any of the activities in this ordinance prior to an official release of funds received from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development as may be required. The 1983 and 1984 activities have been completed or can't be completed thus making the funds available for program year 1985. The "Final Statement of Community Development Objectives and Projected Use of Funds - P.Y. 1985" outlines four activities that have been planned based on this reprogramming. Three of the activities are conducted by the Department of Code Enforcement and the fourth is Community Development Mgt. and Planning. Should you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me.
