Dear Mrs. Beck:
The Bureau of Cemeteries is requesting the Common Council to approve the
enclosed ordinance appropriating.$45,000.00 from the City Cemetery Trust
Fund.
Total monies in the Cemetery Trust Fund amounts to $61,775.50 as of this
date.
This request is for construction of a 201 x 100' concrete block storage
building to replace the present wooden buildings that are substandard and
unsecure. Vandalism in the past few years has been insurmountable and
because of this condition, storage of equipment has hindered operation of
the cemeteries.
This sum to be appropriated to account 0417, Other Structures. The bidding
process on this building has already been completed by the Board of Public
Works.
I feel this storage building is a high priority item for the efficient
operation of the City Cemeteries.
Your approval of this ordinance will be appreciated.
Very truly yours,
BUREAU OFIGPETERIES
