BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: Section 1. Ordinance No. 4990 -68, as amended, which ordinance is commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be and the same hereby is amended in order that the zoning classification of the following described real estate in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana: A parcel of land beginning at a point of intersection of the centerlines of Ireland Road and Fellows Street, thence south along the centerline of Fellows Street 219.95' +, thence east 188.40' +, thence north 219.95'+ to the centerline of Ireland Road, thence west 188.401+ to the point of beginning. Also a parcel of land beginning at a point on the centerline of Ireland Road 2099.501+ west of the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of Section 25, T.37N.,R.2E., thence south 337'+ to the centerline of Hawbaker Street, thence east along said centerline 288' +, thence south 219.45' +, thence east 620.501+ to the centerline of High Street, thence north along said centerline 219.451+ to a point of intersection with the centerline of Hawbaker Street, thence west along said centerline 147.25' +, thence north 337'+ to the centerline of Ireland Road, thence west along said centerline to the point of beginning. be and the same is hereby established as "B" Residential, "A" Height and Area. Taylor to zone from "A" Residential, "A" Height and Area to "B" Residential, "A" Height and Area, property located on the south side of Ireland Road between Fellows and High Streets, City of South Bend Gentlemen: The above referenced ordinance initiated by Councilman Robert G. Taylor was legally advertised Friday, January 4, 1985. The Area Plan Commission gave it a public hearing on January 15, 1985, at which time the following action was taken: Upon a motion by Joseph Serge, being seconded by Evelyn Clark and unanimously carried, the proposed ordinance initiated by Councilman Robert G. Taylor to zone from "A" Residential, "A" Height and Area to "B" Residential, "A" Height and Area, property located on the south side of Ireland Road between Fellows and High Streets, City of South Bend is sent to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving at the above decision are shown in the minutes of the public hearing, and will be forwarded to you at a later date to be made a part of this report. EXISTING LAND USE: The area contains a number of single- family homes. SURROUNDING LAND USE AND ZONING: Located to the north across Ireland Road is the Erskine Golf Course zoned "A" Residential, to the east is an optometrist's office and the Fitness U.S.A. building zoned "B" Residential and "C" Commercial respectively, to the scuth is a church zoned "A" Residential, and to the vest is a church and a single- family hone zoned "A" Residential. SITE PLAN: A site plan is not required for rezoning petitions initiated by a City Councilman.
