MAYOR BUTTIGIEG TO HOST MAYOR'S NIGHT OUT AT
MONROE PRIMARY CENTER
SOUTH BEND—Mayor Pete Buttigieg will host a"Mayor's Night Out" at Monroe Primary
Center next week. The event is held to encourage South Bend residents to speak directly with
the mayor and department heads about municipal issues.
This event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27 in the City's 5th Common Council District,
and Councilman Dr. David Varner will participate. It is open to all citizens, with additional
consideration given to 5th District residents and issues. Monroe Primary Center is located at 312
E. Donmoyer Avenue. Residents are invited to speak with the mayor and department heads from
5:30 – 7:00 PM. Sign-up is on a first-come, first-serve basis for five-minute discussions with the
mayor, while city department heads will be available throughout the evening to provide
information on city projects and programs. These departments include:
• Administration& Finance • Code Enforcement Department/Animal Control
• Building Department • Streets Department
• Corporation Counsel • Parks &Recreation Department
• Public Works Department • Mayor's Office
• Police Department • Common Council
• Fire Department • Community Investment
