ORDINANCE NO. 7 -
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $110 , 000 . 00 FROM
THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND TO PROJECT
R&S 8503 WIDENING AND RECONSTRUCTION OF
TWYCKENITAM DRIVE FROM MC KINLEY AVENUE TO
SR 2.3 WITHIN SOUTH BEND, WITHIN THE LOCAL
ROAD AND STREET FUND.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to bring Twyckenham Drive in South Bend up to current
design standards and to provide the public with a safer roadway,
certain improvements have been proposed.
Funds are now needed for the engineering costs for this improve-
ment . These funds are available from the Local Road and Street Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE ,. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
Section I: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated
and ordered set apart out of the Local Road and Street Fund
for the project in the amount set forth below:

Section II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect

by the Mayor .

Dear Councilmen:
The attached is a proposed ordinance requesting an
appropriation of $110,000 . 00 from the Local Road and Street
Fund to be used for engineering services for upgrading
Twyckenham Drive from McKinley Avenue to SR 23 within South
Bend. This work to include, but not limited to , roadway
widening, storm sewers and possible signalization. The
balance in the Local Road and Street Fund after this
appropriation is $318 , 000 . 00 .
Your favorable consideration is requested on this pro-
posed ordinance. Sould you have any questions , please feel
