Dear Council Member:
The attached appropriation bill submitted for your consideration and approval covers
an increase in one project, a decrease in one, and one new project.
Neighborhood Code Enforcement Demolition is being increased by $25,000, bringing the
total appropriation for 1985 to $65,000. Part of this increase ($15,000) is coming
from Neighborhood Code Enforcement Rehab, while the balance ($10,000) is from
Unspecified Local Option.
The new project concerns the old fire station at 803 N. Notre Dame Ave. , which
currently houses offices for the Northeast Neighborhood Center and Neighborhood
Housing Services. The appropriation of $15,000 from Unspecified Local Option will be
used to repair the roof and related interior and exterior repairs.
The balance remaining in Unspecified Lodal Option should these projects be approved
will be $129,985. Should you have any questions or require additional information,
please call me at 284-9335.
Looking forward to your favorable action on the proposed bill, I remain
Sincerely yours,
