ORDINANCE NO. 775,; - ` AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $40,000.00 AMONG VARIOUS ACCOUNTS WITHIN THE DIVISION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: In order to assure the efficient and timely utilization of Community Development Block Grant funds, and that the immediate needs of specific activities are met, transfers among accounts are necessary. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: SECTION I. The sum of $40,000.00 is hereby transferred among accounts as set forth below: Reduce the following accounts: Project No. Description Amount CD85-104 Code Enforcement Rehab Fund $ 15,000.00 CD 85 Unspecified Local Option 25,000.00 TOTAL $ 40,000.00 Increase the following accounts: Project No. Description Amount CD85-202 Demolition $ 25,000.00 CD85-304 Northeast Center Rehab $ 15,000.00 TOTAL $ 40,000.00 SECTION II. South Bend, IN 46601 Dear Council Member: The attached appropriation bill submitted for your consideration and approval covers an increase in one project, a decrease in one, and one new project. Neighborhood Code Enforcement Demolition is being increased by $25,000, bringing the total appropriation for 1985 to $65,000. Part of this increase ($15,000) is coming from Neighborhood Code Enforcement Rehab, while the balance ($10,000) is from Unspecified Local Option. The new project concerns the old fire station at 803 N. Notre Dame Ave. , which currently houses offices for the Northeast Neighborhood Center and Neighborhood Housing Services. The appropriation of $15,000 from Unspecified Local Option will be used to repair the roof and related interior and exterior repairs. The balance remaining in Unspecified Lodal Option should these projects be approved will be $129,985. Should you have any questions or require additional information, please call me at 284-9335.
