The Tuesday, October 24, 2023, Community/Campus Advisory Coalition (CCAC) meeting was
called to order by Council Member at Large Rachel Tomas Morgan at 3:38 p.m. virtually via
Microsoft Teams.

Chair Rachel Tomas morgan formally began the with an introduction to the Agenda and asked those
attending to brainstorm and identify potential topics of interest for the 2023-2024 school year.
Daniel Jung, Kate Lee, and Brantley Taylor provided updates on their organization.
Tomas Morgan asked Jung questions about protocol within the Notre Dame student community and
the NBPD, Jung explained that he and his vice president have been keeping up with the community
to resolve issues and complaints. He also has attended a ride-along with the NDPD.
Brantley Taylor introduced himself and spoke on the excitement of Ivy Tech and its collaboration
with the CCAC and offered his services.
Chief Scott Ruszkowski spoke to address claims made to the police department about false claims
and offered the transparency hub for any clarifications or concerns regarding claims such as these.
He also elaborated on the routines and procedures of the office to shed light on the hard work done
in the department.
Kate Lee spoke about the community involvement she has been seeing and informed the members
about the programs the chamber offers to students and members of the community. There has been
over 1200 interns participate since the program was created. There was discussion between Tomas
Morgan and Lee diving deeper into the program's services and offers.
Chief Scott Ruszkowski indicated Cops and Goblins is taking place today at 5:00 PM with 8,000
tickets distributed.
Committee Chair Tomas Morgan indicated the Council has passed the 2024 City Budget and had
the most public feedback.
Committee Chair Tomas Morgan also indicated the reparations study committee has been assembled
and had their first meeting. All meetings are open to the public. If others are interested in attending,
please reach out to any of the Councilmembers or Office of the City Clerk.
Committee Chair Tomas Morgan then reminded the committee about the upcoming meeting
scheduled for Tuesday,November 28, 2023 at 3:30 PM. All CCAC meetings are in a hybrid format.
With no further business, Chair Rachel Tomas Morgan adjourned the CCAC meeting at 4:05 p.m.
